As you know, tree roots can cause absolute havoc with the plumbing, especially when ceramic pipes are involved.
They become brittle with age and even the smallest hairline crack can entice water-seeking roots, which then invade the pipe and cause untold damage.
Obviously to prevent this from happening in the first place, it is wise not to plant trees too close to any pipes. It’s also a good idea to keep an eye on movement in the ground from roots and to take out trees (as long as you are permitted by Council) that may be about to cause big problems.
If, however the damage has been done, there is a brilliant solution for fixing these underground drainage problems. It’s known as pipe relining and is a method that has totally eliminated the need to dig up and replace old pipes.
We just roll out a specialised machine and insert a flexible resin liner into the affected area. The liner hardens to form a new pipe inside the old one. It’s extremely strong and comes with a guarantee.
